Ceramic Coatings are a form of protection that can last for years but also protect you from damages that other forms of protection can’t such as waxes or polymers. Only Ceramic Coatings and Sealants can protect your vehicle against bird droppings, bug splatter scars, hard water and more. Ceramic Coatings are made from the latest technology made from nano particles of Silicon called SiO2 or Silicon Dioxide, similar to liquid glass, a protective glass shell around your vehicles surfaces. These Nano Particles form interlocked layers when applied on surgically clean surfaces then died and cured with natural UV light over several days or fast cured in hours with a specialized UV Lamp. Before a vehicle can have a ceramic coating applied it must have paint correction to remove scratches but also to remove contaminants that wont come.
Compounding & Polishing
Compounding is the process of using aggressive polishing compounds, materials & machines to remove deep scratches. Polishing is a general term for removing lighter scratches, correcting fade from UV rays or Oxidation and other damages from Hard Water, Bug Splatter and Automatic Car Wash swirls. Ask me about how the scratches develop over time and what other damage automatic car washes can cause. Polishing should be done every time you get a clay bar treatment or every 6-12. months. There is plenty of paint to get corrections to keep your vehicle looking great. Compounding & Sanding should only be performed when correcting deeper scratches or full paint restoration before a ceramic coating to restore the paint to like new condition.
